Intelligent Substation Communication System

System Overview


Intelligent substation is made up of intelligent primary equipment (electronic transformer, intelligent switch, etc.) and networked secondary equipment layered (process layer, bay layer, station control layer). Based on IEC61850 standard and communication specification, it can realize information sharing and interoperation among intelligent electrical equipment in substation.

System Requirement:

1) A comprehensive priority policy is required to ensure priority transmission of critical data;

2) Meeting long-term data stable transmission requirements;

3) Need to meet the requirements of stable operation in the case of high level EMC interference;

4) Low transmission delay, high real-time requirements for network transmission;

5) Optical fiber redundancy network is used to ensure that the system can continue to work when the communication equipment is abnormal.


Solution:

In view of the special application scenarios of intelligent substations, COME-STAR uses optical fiber transmission technology to replace the cable connection between the primary equipment and measurement and control of conventional substations, realizing the measurement and control of primary equipment, and enhancing the reliability of data transmission and networking flexibility. The GOOSE message of the substation is given the highest priority, and the IEEE1588 protocol can ensure the real-time transmission of the network. The network adopts a three-layer structure, namely: station control layer, process layer, and interval layer, with layer-by-layer redundancy to ensure the feasibility, reliability and importance of network networking. Both the station-level switch and the process-level switch have passed the State Grid IEC61850-3 certification to ensure the reliability of power network transmission.
